GRANDPARENTS are all about 'parenting' in a grand way : A bliss to our lifes

It's such a grand thing to become parent of a parent - and that's why the world calls them GRANDPARENTS!!

Grandparents are a true treasure of everyone's life and each one of you must be having sweet memories of your childhood with your Dada-dadi & Nana-nani.
I can very well sense the smile๐Ÿ˜Š on your face because same is my feelings right now . Like most of us ,I had spent some beautiful times of my childhood in my Nanu Nani's arms and I wish I could hold them forever. But......the painful truth of life is that nobody is here to stay with us forever. What remains is the sweet memories and their blessings from above.
Even though I miss the presence of my grandparents always but more than that today I am happy to see my children who are truly blessed and loved by all their grandparents. It fills my heart with joy to see the kind of bond they share with their grandparents and the way this relationship is taking highs with each passing day.

It's all the matter of understanding between you and your parents then only your children are going to benefit from their grandparents. From benefits here, I am referring to the cultural , social and knowledgeable aspects our parents pass on to our children. The legacy they forward to their grandchildren is an absolute bliss. Its something which no one else in the world could give because Grandparents are the most selfless people on the earth. They always have so much in them to give that one must try to take learnings from them.
Having grandparents in the family is not only good for your children but believe me it's a feeling of relaxation and security for us also as a parent.
Let's find out how...!!!!!

The Unconditional Love๐Ÿ’ž

Children are always craving for love and one place where they find it is their grandparents. The beauty of grandparents is that they love doing what your children do. The reason behind this is that they see them as an extension to their own children and thus the amount of love they pour in becomes purely unconditional. They are always ready to help raise your children as it also keeps them busy and energised .To keep the kids enganged with creative ideas they come up with some out of the box thing, which helps stimulate their mental health too.

Abundance of Quality time

Parents in present time are way more busier than older times. All thanks to this technologically driven world. Fulfilling the needs of faster and progressive lifestyle , parents are usually not able to spend more time with their kids. There comes grandparents as a rescue and make up for the quality time our children crave for. Being in the age after retirement, they have abundance of their time to spare on their grandchildren and they happily fill in the gaps where kids do not miss their parents because grandparents are the closest amongst all the family members. They are saviours especially for families where both parents are working.

A depot of Knowledge and experience

The importance of grandparents are mostly underrated in our society. However, we must not forget they come with decades of hands on experience in parenting as compared to us. From handelling the tempers of toddlers to mood swings of teenagers or issues of grown up kids ,they have seen it all. It always gives a sense of comfort to us as a parent because there is always someone by our side to take advice from. In difficult situations of dealing with your kids, grandparents are a strong support for the parents in finding ways to resolve it.

Lessons of Life

If we go with the famous saying " The most valuable lessons in life are free", I find it absolutely true because grandparents are the best teachers who can make us learn the most valuable things in life. Grandparents are famous for entertaining kids with their stories. Whether these stories are made up or real based on family history, they make sure it has some learnings. So, in order to teach life lessons grandparents play a vital role. They make children understand the true meaning of charity, politeness, love , family bonding and many other basic etiquettes.

Gadget free time

There is hardly any child today who is not attracted to the new and technologically advanced gadgets. I won't deny the fact that it has become an integral part of our child's development but getting used to it without other physical activities is totally a  No no !
However informative and educational the movies or videos may be, it ultimately harms the eyesight and mental development of our children. Instead of that, grandparents keeps the children enganged in various other activities like painting, gardening and if not so a hearty conversation gives a much needed break to kids from gadgets.

A balance between strictness and leniency

As a parent, we often make strict schedule for our kids to teach them discipline but sometimes it becomes so monotonous for children that they need a break . Grandparents nurture the child in them and give a little bit of liberty to enjoy .They are the trusted grownups who keep our secrets safe so we always say...' what happens in grandma's house stays in grandma's house' ๐Ÿ˜Š. Grandparents are very well aware when our child needs a time out but make sure they do not go out of the track. Thus, they ensure to strike a balance between strict and lenient parenting.

Attached to our roots

Presence of grandparents ensures that children in the family are never detached from their roots. By inculcating family values and traditions a child is very well kept aware of their inherent culture in terms of mother tongue, cuisine, festivals and many such things.
Needless to say a child who has grandparents as caregiver along with their parents will be more affectionate and deeply routed.

Grandparents are a blessing in disguise! The emotional bond a child shares with grandparents is unlike any other. Grandparents with their grandchildren discover second childhood and get a chance to relive the joys. The relationship is so dependable that with time it becomes inseparable.
A lot has been told about grandparents and their duties but now it's our turn to reciprocate their love with respect from our side . This is all they expect. For our children to respect them, first we need to show love care and respect to our elders. Afterall..... children are great immitators.

Love your grandparents, Love your parents love your children and create a lovely family.
