Adorn yourself this ๐ŸŒบDurga Puja ๐ŸŒบ with the Majestic Madhubani Art.๐ŸŽจ๐Ÿ–Œ️

Being born and brought up in Mithila ( the cultural capital of Bihar) I am extremely proud and happy to share with you all the ancient form of this art which is still alive and not only that but in today's time it has reached out to the global stage as well.

About Madhubani Art:-  It is the form of art that is originated in the Madhubani district of Bihar which comes under Darbhanga division. The painting is done with the variety of tools like twigs, fingers, matchstick and nib pens with the natural dyes obtained from plants. Most of the geometric patterns drawn in this art form are two dimensional and are inspired from Ramayana era . The origin of this art is more than 2500 years old and first started in the India Nepal border called Mithila region. The same place where Mata Sita was born hence Madhubani art is also termed as Mithila Art.

With the motto of 'Preserving art and promoting Artisans' a mother - daughter duo runs a handmade Madhubani art products boutique by the name of Geetanjali Boutique.

Based on their collections exclusively for Durga Puja I would like to recommend all you ladies out there your own six yards of elegance. To mark the beginning of Puja , here comes a beautiful blend of Madhya Pradesh handloom Maheshwari saree with the Madhubani paintings of Bihar in a soothing and soft cotton silk fabric.
This collection is named as PEARL.
A rare colour combination of white with blue green border alongwith baans and Aripan motifs painted in black makes it classy with minimal style.
Best suited for your 'Shasthi morning'.

CORAL is a hand-painted madhubani paintings with the motifs of girl and fish alongwith the big and bold buttas all over this soft and comfy cotton silk saree.
The color choice of coral pink is quite rare found in madhubani sarees and the main attraction is the intricate paintings done on fully covered aanchal.
Drape this saree with silver toned jewellery and you are done for 'Shasthi evening'.

LAAL- ISHQ is Saptami special collection as red and yellow is considered the most auspicious colours .
This hand woven piece of linen saree is super comfy and looks appealing for any puja related rituals. The whole saree on yellow base is painted with red and the tassels attached in an alternate combination of red and yellow threads glorifies the whole look.
Wear them for 'Saptami morning '!

Doli - Kahaar is one of the most loved designs practised by the artisans of madhubani paintings and is always high on demand. Inspired by the same, Geetanjali Boutique presents this collection 'ANIKA' an orange pure Tusshar silk saree with the combination of beige border and aanchal.
It's an absolute classy piece and you will definately fall in love with this one by seeing the intricacies and detailed hand painting done on it, specially the peacock and tree motifs.
Just perfect to drape it on 'Saptami evening'.

The iconic Shaada Laal paar saree is the epitome of Bengali style of sarees and with the same comes this super awesome collection of GAURI ( named after the eighth swaroop of Maa durga) with a very traditional and fun ritual of bengali wedding called 'Shubho Drishti'.
The painting done on this saree is a  depiction of the rituals of first sight of bride and groom along with exchanging garlands and family celebrating the auspicious day.
The banana tree, fish and peacock motifs on aanchal with handmade thread tassels attached to it just enhances the whole look of it.
Style this comfortable linen saree with gold jewellery and hair tied in bun alongwith bold Red bindi and you are ready for the morning anjali on 'Ashtami morning'.

Maa durga is also called as RATNAPRIYA which means 'Lover of jewels'. This magnificent collection of sarees is also inspired by the holy swaroop of Devi Durga who is embellished with golden jewelleries.
This spectacular bright red saree is the highlight of all the collection as it is a gem in itself. The painting done in madhubani style is so fine and precise that one cannot resist to have this one. The whole saree in red along with the Mithila wedding theme painted in just gold.... believe me its an absolute bliss for the wearer. Pure and lustrous silk from Darbhanga, Bihar and fine art work in gold over it is just enough to make you sparkle on 'Ashtami night'.

The completion of Sandhi Puja marks the beginning of Maha Navami.
This season add something unique to your saree collection with this black and beige border saree called KAJAL.
The aanchal and border is painted in Dandiya theme which comes out beautifully with vibrant colours on solid black base. It comes with a contrasting beige color blouse with sleeves painted with Madhubani motifs. The fabric is Tusshar silk which is again a no fuss drape. The fabric is comfortable and light weight which you can carry whole day for Navami till Maha Aarti.

With all devotion and much anticipation, we join our hands to bid farewell to Goddess Durga on Vijaya Dashmi. For this special day, Geetanjali Boutique has specially designed collection called DEVI. It's a beautiful amalgamation of Madhubani and Kalamkaari art on linen fabric.
This Shaada Laal paar saree with the face of Devi Durga painted on it is a complete ensemble for the ritual of Sindoor khela where married women offer vermillion and sweets to Maa Durga and then they apply to each others face playfully which is symbolic to bring good luck and long life of their husband.
