Planning a house party????.…..Throw one in style..✨๐ŸŽŠ

Hello people!
I know it's been quiet a long time getting connected to you all but that's how life is , not always easy peasy ....mostly it's 'busy busy'๐Ÿ˜€. The festivities weddings and back to back travellings kept me packed throughout the past two and a half months.
But now I am back with something which I guess , will definately be useful as it's that time of the year when new year is just round the corner and it's high time to indulge in an epic party.
But...hold on please.... before you plan a party coz Corona is not gone yet. Infact with the rise in COVID cases due to new variants, government has issued several guidelines as well. Keeping all that into account...why not party @ your own house with your own comfort?.... Hmm not a bad idea at all.

Well! different people have different choices of their party places. I have mine too....my 'Home Sweet Home'๐Ÿ˜️. Hosting a house party fills my heart with pleasure as I love decorating cooking and serving my own cooked food to my loved ones. Finding out a reason to party is not necessarily required always. You can throw a party just to have fun, enjoy your holidays, some special occasions, an announcement may be an achievement or even for no reason and just like that. Usually everyone loves to party but not everyone is a good host. For some it's a hassle . It's time consuming, expensive frustrating and all of that. Take it from me...it's not the same for all. Believe me one can party and enjoy even in budget and that too with less efforts, all you need to follow is a prior perfect planning.

*The very first thing that goes with the house party planning is deciding upon the date and time as the location is offcourse in your own comfort zone.

* Preparing a guest list comes after that. Always limit your guests according to the space you have to accomodate them and also see to it that you choose people who can mingle with each other and no one is left out in the party.

* Decide upon the theme and dress code early enough to inform your guests so that they have time to arrange for their attire that perfectly suits your theme party.

* Start preparing handmade decorations at home with colorful papers and cardboard which looks beautiful , solves the purpose and at the same time is not much expensive. For this you can always take help from family members especially children in the house. Refer to the numerous DIY videos and enjoy funtime decorating your house.

*
Start cleaning your house a week in advance on a daily basis so that you sort out unwanted things piled up unnecessarily. Adjust your furnitures in a way that you have maximum space for your guests to sit , relax or even dance.

What's in the menu? The soul of every party is the food you serve. So, always decide menu which you cook the best and at the same time which is liked by majority of your guests. Do not experiment with your cooking skills on the party day. Make sure you are done with trying out new recipes beforehand and include it in your party menu only if it turns out really nice.

: Include atleast one or two appetizers with some mocktails in your menu. This keeps your guests enganged while you prepare your main course.

: Keep ur serving dishes right from bowls plates glasses to cutleries ready and arranged on the table before arrival of guests so that you just heat and pour the food into them at the time of serving. This saves time and it's also easier for your friends or guests who are willing to help you at that time.

: Make a list of disposable plates glasses bowl and cutlery accordingly to your menu and always buy extra than you need because they may be broken or spoiled while using . You can always stock them up and use again for another party.

:  Do all the preparation part of your recipie in one day advance ( like grinding masalas, making curry paste, cleaning and frying  veggies etc) and store them in your refrigerator . This will cut down on your cooking time the next day. Give yourself ample time to cook all your food.

: Plan a simple menu for your party and if you plan some rich delicacies , prepare some simple side dishes a day or two in advance. Dishes like chutneys, dips or raita can be prepared beforehand and can be served cold . Above all it acts like fillers to your main dish and the plate also looks full.

: Make sure there is one dessert to be served in your party at the end. If you are planning for a homemade sweet dish varieties of halwas, barfis, puddings or kheer is very good option as these can too be served cold and hence can be prepared in advance. One of the great dessert option is fruit custard but make sure you only prepare the custard and store it. Do not mix the fruits in it otherwise the fruits become pale when you serve to your guests. Always add freshly cut fruits at the time of serving.

:The thumb rule of party is that always prepare a little extra food , atleast to accommodate 3 or 4 more guests as you never know which food item runs out so you should have enough with you to serve.
Never fill the serving bowls with all what you have cooked at a time. Always reheat and refill them as the party needs.

* Music can change the world๐ŸŽถ.... And it can definately set the tone of the party. Select your playlist according to the interests of your guests as you already know them. My idea of my party playlist is not only the newest and trendiest songs but I love to play some fun old and retro songs as well, basically a mix of all geners works out really well with all age groups. Include specially those songs with which you already had mind blowing memories. It's always fun to recreate those moments.
Take initiative and try to indulge all your guests on the dance floor.

* In case you are planning some fun games be ready with all the props you need to avoid searching them at that time.

A little more to know about becoming a perfect Host.

* Keep ample time for yourself before the party starts. Finish all cooking decorating and cleaning stuffs before the arrival of your guests.

* Dress up and get ready ....afterall you are the host. Take a lead.

* Never be stressed or panic even if you feel something might get finished . Be ready with some backup plan in your mind with available materials at your home. Even if you are stressed do not let it show on your face .

* Always greet and welcome your guests. Make sure you thank them for joining your party when you bid bye to them.

* Be cheerful and find time to attend all your guests.

* Have some time for conversations with everyone, may be after the meal with a cup of refreshing coffee.

Being a perfect host is all about planning ahead of time to be assured that you enjoy with your guests and be part of all what you have planned.
