Hey all you stylos out there...!!! It's that time of the year when you must be waiting to breathe easy after the scorching sunny days....Yes!... The rain has began again.....π§️.
And I am pretty sure that you all must be wondering about what's and how's of your styling. Let me sort this out for you . Don't let the sudden downpour, the slushy streets and the potholes ruin your mood . Dress in style and rule with your personality!
So, here is your style checklist for monsoons....π§️☔π
*Choose perfect attire- Time to bid bye to tight fitted clothes , long and flowy dresses. You can always swap them with shorts, midis, cullottes and cropped pants. Not only western style, you can rock your ethnic style with a twist by pairing straight fit kurtas with ankle length bottoms instead of churidaar , patiyaala or Palazzos. Avoid wearing long skirts, shararas and trail dresses when you are outdoors.
*Choose the right fabric for the season- Do not wear heavy fabrics like denims and corduroy in rainy season as they absorb too much water and doesn't dry up easily. Never go for see through fabrics. Cotton , mul, nylon and light silks are the fabrics of the season.
*Step out with your best foot forward-
Footwear has alot to do with monsoon styling as if you go wrong with your shoes you're gonna mess up all. Do not wear stilletoes or any other shoe made of leather and suede. Waterproof bellies, jelly shoes and rubber soled flip flops are the most reliable options. Opt for vibrant colours and designs in it.

* Go minimal with jewellery - Colorful beads and plastic jwelleries are great add ons for your look in rainy days. Avoid metal and wooden jewelleries while stepping out in rains. Refrain yourself from over accessorizing. A statement neckpiece , a broad cuffs and a pair of small ear studs can beautifully elevate your whole look.
* Colours of the season - It's a time out for the subtle pastel shades of summer because monsoon is the time when you can flaunt all the darker shades as well as bright colours. Use dark blues, browns and grey shades for clothing as they help hide the water and mud stains. You can always experiment bright neon shades for your accessories.
*Must have in monsoons-
Never go out with leather handbags or backpacks in monsoons. Instead use canvas totes, transparent hobos and vinyl handbags that do not wet your things inside. Do not forget to step out without Umbrella. It's the new style statement for the season. Explore varieties of colours and designs in it. It's always good to go for foldable ones which can be carried easily.
